Orientation

Okay so today I had orientation at ASU. I had to go to the down town campus because I am majoring in nursing and that is where the nursing program is. It was fine, kind of boring actually and so many things about my schedule is so frustrating! I have to take this one credit course called ASU101 teaching me about asu and it is only offered at down town asu. ARG!!!! So frustrating and then I have to take Chemistry 101 which I thought was fine but Natalie said it is like High School Chemistry. So why would I have to take that? I took Chemistry and Physics in high school and I got an A then. Hopefully they will let me take Chemistry 113 instead. They also expect you to live on ASU campus when you are and incoming freshman, and no offence but I am don't exactly trust the other kids not to get drunk and party. ASU is not exactly the most spiritual place. Then I just arg, they make you feel like are a stupid person. They kept going on about how it is very competitive and if you can't keep 2.75 GPA you are going to get kicked out. Just made you feel like they expected you to fail some of your classes. You know some of us actually do know how to study and have come to ASU to get an education and not to party. Other than that it was just great. I met this girl who grew up in England and that was cool. It was just a little awkward because almost everyone had someone with them and I didn't know any one and I am not exactly the type of person who makes friends in point two seconds. I did find some people I could talk to though. I could have had Jamie come with me but I didn't want to put her through that. The part about figuring out my schedule I would have liked to have someone there giving me advise, but no ASU takes them off to learn about how they should donate to ASU. That is why I didn't have Jamie come, I knew they were going to do that. Then we got done at 2:30 instead of 3:00 which normally would made me really excited but Jamie wasn't going to be there till three so I had to sit there by myself with the people in charge of orientation. Awkward, especially when I told him I wasn't going to live on campus. It was a easier to find and everything than I thought it was going to be so that was nice.

I know exactly how you feel!! They are so dumb and mean if you aren't going to live on campus. I know how you feel! Don't worry..I was rebellious too! They can't make you. They are just rude!
